JJA: Digitized Summer (JJA) Alpine temperature anomaly (from Corona et
al., 2010 figure 5a) derived from
Larix and Pinus tree rings growth. The difficult of the digitalization must be
stressed, so used dataset (at 3-pixel, or 5-yr step) can be different from
another one (also if taken by the same person in a next "run").
Within the above caveat, the temperature anomaly appears "normal" at all (not clear what "normal" means), with a rise of about 0.2°C in one thousand years, i.e. fully constant on average, also if large fluctuations hold. From the filtered series, both the warm MWP and the cold LIA are well defined and also the (after LIA recovery or industrial period) actual period of growing temperature.
